Dear guests from overseas,

in this homepage I collect and spread information about the Schmehr family in Germany. This is a small family with about 40 entries in the German telephone book. Most of the members live in Saarland, a little state in the south-west, close to the French border.

During my genealogical investigations of this family I found, that there are members of the same family  in the USA and Ireland.

Maybe there are the same roots , maybe it is just by chance a misspelling of the name Schmeer, which is more common in Germany.
